Introduction

Welcome to Kangaroo Book Publisher. These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our book publishing services across Australia and New Zealand.

By engaging our services or accessing our website, you agree to be bound by the following terms.

Scope of Services

Kangaroo Book Publisher offers a wide range of professional book services, including:

  • Ghostwriting and manuscript development for authors at every stage of their journey.
  • Editing, proofreading, and content refinement to ensure polished, publish-ready manuscripts.
  • Book cover design and interior formatting tailored to industry standards.
  • ISBN registration and publishing assistance for both print and digital formats.
  • Book marketing support, promotional strategy, and author branding across Australia and New Zealand.

We reserve the right to update or modify our service offerings at any time without prior notice.

Client Responsibilities

Clients must provide accurate and complete information when requesting services, including manuscripts, reference materials, and brand guidelines.

Any delays in providing required materials may lead to adjusted project timelines.

  • Kangaroo Book Publisher shall not be held responsible for errors that arise from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the client.
  • Clients must ensure that all submitted content is original and does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party.

Intellectual Property

All original content created on behalf of a client becomes the client’s intellectual property upon full payment for the services rendered.

Until payment is received in full, Kangaroo Book Publisher retains ownership of all work produced during the project.

  • We reserve a limited, non-exclusive licence to showcase anonymised samples of completed work in our portfolio and marketing materials, unless a written objection is lodged within seven business days of project completion.
  • Any proprietary tools, templates, or methodologies used in delivering our services remain the exclusive property of Kangaroo Book Publisher.

Payments and Pricing

All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless stated otherwise in the service agreement.

A deposit is generally required before work begins, with the remaining balance due upon completion or according to the agreed milestone schedule.

  • Late payments may incur additional charges and could result in the suspension of ongoing services until the outstanding amount is settled.
  • Accepted payment methods include bank transfer, credit card, and other approved options listed on our website.

Revisions and Amendments

Each service package includes a defined number of revision rounds, as outlined in the individual service agreement.

Revision requests must be submitted within fourteen calendar days of receiving a draft or deliverable.

  • Additional revisions beyond the agreed scope may attract extra charges at our standard rates.
  • Failure to respond within the fourteen-day revision window will be taken as acceptance of the delivered work.
  • We reserve the right to decline revision requests that significantly alter the original project brief or scope of work.

Limitation of Liability

Kangaroo Book Publisher strives to deliver high-quality services but does not guarantee specific outcomes such as book sales, bestseller rankings, or commercial success.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by the client for the specific service in question.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

Termination

Either party may terminate a service agreement by providing written notice to the other party.

If a client terminates, fees for work already completed will remain payable in full.

Kangaroo Book Publisher may terminate an agreement immediately if a client breaches these terms or engages in conduct deemed abusive, fraudulent, or harmful to our reputation.

Upon termination, all completed materials will be delivered once outstanding payments have been cleared.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia.

Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Australia.

Clients based in New Zealand agree that Australian law will apply unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
